BOOST – dissemination in Greece

In Greece (Athens), during the implementation of the SENS project on March 30 and 31, 2023, BOOST was promoted as a project of exceptional importance for young people. There were partners from Rumania, Turkey, Croatia and Greece. The goal was to share the knowledge and outcomes of the project with a wide audience, and to encourage the adoption of similar initiatives or approaches. By engaging young people in Greece, the BOOST project may have inspired them to become more involved in social entrepreneurship or to develop new ideas for addressing social challenges in their communities.
By promoting the development of transversal skills among young people, the BOOST project may have contributed to the development of a more skilled and innovative workforce in Europe, better equipped to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.

BOOST – dissemination event, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management – Opatija, November, 2022

At the Faculty of Management in Tourism, dissemination activities related to the development of transversal skills were carried out as part of the BOOST project. The presentation is made for young people who work and study at the same time.
Students who are working while studying can benefit greatly from developing transversal skills, as these skills are transferable across a wide range of industries and can help them to be successful in their current job and future career.
One important transversal skill is critical thinking, which involves analyzing information, evaluating arguments, and making sound decisions. Students who develop critical thinking skills can apply them to problem-solving in their work, as well as in their personal lives. Another valuable transversal skill is communication, which involves effectively conveying ideas and information to others. Students who develop strong communication skills can build positive relationships with coworkers and clients, as well as effectively express their ideas and opinions in meetings or presentations.
Other transversal skills that students can develop include adaptability, creativity, leadership, and teamwork. These skills can help students to navigate change, generate new ideas, take on leadership roles, and collaborate effectively with others.
By developing these transversal skills, students who are working while studying can increase their value to their employer, improve their job performance, and enhance their career prospects. Additionally, these skills can also benefit students in their personal lives, by improving their ability to manage relationships and make informed decisions.
